Hari Raghava Prasad
Doctoral Student
Hari began his DPhil in Chemistry in January 2026, following an MEng in Chemical Engineering at the University of Cambridge and a year working as an engineering consultant in German factories.
His research aims to understand photocatalytic mechanisms and kinetics at high temperatures and pressure by using photoinduced absorption spectroscopy. This has applications in various key industrial reactions, such as hydrogen production, the oxidative coupling of methane and formaldehyde production.
In his free time, he enjoys playing racket sports as well as football and basketball, in addition to learning languages and trying to get to grips with the piano.
